Also known as "Halfbrick is doomed," "Halfbrick went down the drain," and many other names. Lemme start.
Before I had an Android, my brother got the Galaxy Y, and even though it had that Android, I wasn't really interested after finding out that it didn't render the Sonic 4 Episode I models properly (they were nearly invisible). My Nokia C3 was doing me fine. Then I had an Android later on. What was the game that made me have that sudden urge to buy me an Android smartphone?
That was Jetpack Joyride and the thought of playing Sonic 4 Episode II on my tiny screen.
I've liked Halfbrick for quite some time and experienced their protagonist, Barry Steakfries. One of the characters I imagined is mostly inspired by him. I've played Age of Zombies and loved the dialogue.
"Its time to blow this lame future where every device starts with an i."
Today Amazon at last had access to the latest update to the game. Boy I waited for it. But I was disappointed. Why? The game looked more updated. Achievements, better stats menu, new startup screen, new textures, etc. It was a better version I guess. But it isn't. I've played through stage 1 and jumped to stage 2 and found out that something was off. Upon entering stage 3, I knew it.
The dialogue was missing!
Why ditch that kind of awesome dialogue? It had all kinds of references to other things and that's what made the dialogue great. The references added a bit of depth into the game and Barry. But suddenly, the dialogue... Went poof! No dialogue. Just you jumping from stage to stage shooting things. Worst, there's not many people complaining about it. Why... Why!
Add to the fact that they blocked me from following them on Twitter. Just because I always yelled Google Play to their iApp Jail Canteen only freebie offer. Ugh.
I've uninstalled Age of Zombies and replaced it with a Slenderman game I got for free on the same day I got the former. Hopefully I get the full experience, and not the full experience minus the dialogue I loved. If I were to reinstall Age of Zombies, I'll pirate the version before the dialogue removal because the dialogue really deserves to be read than to be non-existant, more than money needs to be given to Halfbrick. They fell down a big hole, and they'll need to work out of it if they really want to gain my love again. I'll give it to SEGA for now, even if some of their apps are half-broken, because they offer the full experience and don't take it away from you later on. I'll still play Jetpack Joyride though.
TL;DR: Age of Zombies' dialogue is removed and that is a big reason I've uninstalled it plus Halfbrick blocking me on Twitter for demanding an offer to see Google Play. That's why they fell.
