So anyone play the Sims 3 and brought Island Paradise Expansion Pack, only to find out it is glitchy?
Here's a story about my Sim.
I chose a Medium-sized Boathouse for her to live in. It costs around 3,000 simoleons, leaving my Sim with enough money to build a bedroom and a bathroom on it. I also built an outdoor kitchen and brought some furniture (alchemy station, etc... and yes, I have Supernatural installed). Studying Alchemy, playing with Magic and watching TV, conveniently placed outside is my Sim's way to raise fun.
The first thing I do after building houses was going to snorkeling. It took a while for my Sim to stop clapping her hands happily and just get to snorkel. After she increased her Scuba Diving Skill, (yes, that's the skill Snorkeling increases) I took her back to the boathouse. Guess what? She swims through the port and through the houseboat. The glitch won't go away until I order her to sit on a chair.
After a few day, her SD Skill is enough to go scuba diving at Rocky Reef. She does so. Few more days, she also increased SD skill and then go to Davy Jones's Locker something Diving Spot. She found a mermaid whose fish tail wasn't loading.
It's about that point I gave up. Not only that Island Paradise lag my game even further than University Life, it was just a glitchy cyber-trainwreck. I uninstalled this Expansion Pack, along with University Life.

So, you've uninstalled the DLC because it was very buggy? I feel you on this one, but you mostly need to read about bad DLCs and games before touching either. Maybe that's how a natural instinct inside us tell us to spend 0$ on Sonic 06', but I can't blame you for falling into it because we always expect a non-glitchy product to be sold and that we shouldn't stop before every single purchase to decide good or not.
So in this game, you're not in a first person perspective of your own character? Unless I thought about other Sims-related things.

No, Island Paradise is an EXPANSION PACK, like Late Night, Supernatural or University Life.
Here's one thing: Expansion packs and stuff packs (EXCEPT FOR KATY PERRY'S SWEET TREATS, WHO THOUGHT OF THAT STUFF PACK ANYWAY?) by EA for the Sims series never failed to please.
Of course, I never thought it would be buggy. I looked up LGR's Review of it and he gave a pretty positive overview of it. Didn't mention the glitches or anything.
But then EA managed to **** up Tree of Prosperity and never fixed it, so I suppose it was somewhat predictable...

Alright, after deleting the Scott family and installing Overwatch mod, the lag and routing issues have been fixed. I haven't scuba dive yet again. Thanks to less lag, I can finally experiment with the resort system. But seriously though, this show how lazy EA has became as of recently. If a glitch has to be fixed by a non-EA worker through a mod, it show that a company doesn't care about quality of their work as long they get the money. They should be the one to fix Isla Paradiso's routing issues. Also, I forgot to tell you; the lag only occur in Isla Paradiso, a new neighborhood from the Island Paradise Expansion pack. Did I mention Island Paradise EP came out in 2013, last year? A year has passed, the last expansion pack ( Into the Future) was released and no official patch from EA. Darn it, EA... you make great games but you are bad at fixing things...
